Bah.. Guys, the celica wasn't designed for 1/4. The Celica is a high-speed 'twisties' car. If ye want somthing for the 1/4, Toyota made a car I while back for that too.. It was called the Supra.. :D

I think the issue is they are mad that a Celica could take out more then half their board. The guy Ben beat talks a lot of smack and he is one of the fastest guys on the board. So by Ben smoking him by 2 cars and Ben edging me out by a nose, it made them look bad, and as if I was hyping myself up. I think thats there beef , no matter how stupid it is...

Ya well we have worked together for 2 years almost. We chill together and cruise together so its all good. Now I just have to beat him! :twisted: I came close yesterday, but we are running again on a longer stretch were it will be fair. Yesterday we ran to about mid 3rd gear before we ran out of strip, so on a longer stretch my odds may be better. Hell he only had a nose on me, and he has more mods so no complaints! :D

Matt, Ben is not one of the fastest on the board. You have not met some of the fast guys on the board, because they do not come to all the meets. I have never had a problem with you personally, but I know that there are some members of the Toronto Integras that perceive you as having "attitude or being arrogant". You were cool with me, so I just thought that I would educate the Celica drivers a little.

While many of you may bash Hondas, the B series motor has a huge aftermarket. The availability of parts, plus the ability to interchange parts means that the car can be made quite quick.

Here is an example of an all motor GSR http://www.c-speedracing.com/mission/03/cspeed12-83.avi running 12 seconds all while in being totally streetable.

If you guys want to settle this the racer way, lets organize a track day. All the people who are pissed off at each other can run the 1/4 at Cayuga

I KNOW honda has a waaaaaay bigger aftermarket and cheaper too. Way more support from the aftermarket .. anyhow yeah that board seems to have a lot of issues. I'm sure matt knows he probably couldn't win against all of them. He was taking a ride in some blue JDM integra that was an all engine 200+hp .. seemed very fast ..

I think this is an AWSOME idea.. If we could have some 'pro's' on hand to provide the newbies some idea of how such an event works, all the better.

If your group is setting this up, please let us know. I am sure quite a few of the members here would love to come out and play. I know I would!!

As to the Aftermarket Commentary:
Yeah. Honda and Toyota have TOTALY differnt attitudes with regards to aftermarket development. I respect ALL of these manufactuers equality. There aren't too many manufactuers out there who's products you still see on the road in fantastic condition after 400 000+km (ie Corollas and Civics).

But rivarly is still kinda fun on occation.. :D

So the short of it? YEAH! Throw it together!! We'd love to come out and play too!! I totaly love the idea of some cross-club events!!

Thanks that's a mega comment! The whole idea of this board was to avoid those kinds of things. I'm happy to hear we've accomplished that, and I hope we continue to keep everything here professional and embrace everyone...

Ben, I am not sure why you are so pissed off. Everyone jokes around with you about your ITR, even I joke with you about the sunroof and the leather. I do not know how this thing with you and Sukh got so heated.
You beat him in a race, congrats, if I were him, I would go home, do some mods and challenge you again.

For the Celica guys reading this, the B series motor has been around since 1989. That means that there are lots of mods for it both NA and FI. I can think of 5 different manufacturers of turbo kits just off the top of my head, and another 5 who make cams. For this reason, any teg or civic with the right combination of parts can be made faster than an ITR.

Ben, no one is chasing you off the boards, there are some of us who try to make the board a better place (organize group buys, represent the board on TV etc). I think that this whole incident has given the Celica board a bad impression of what the Integra board is really like. Like I said, how fast you want to be depends on how much money you want to put into your car. Its all a matter of personal taste.

Hopefully we can organize a track day, and get some friendlycompetition going between the two boards

Thankyou for ending this and acting responsibly. I just found it close minded when some of the members blabbed out rude comments about the people of toronto integras and integras in general. I would understand this if there were negative comments made towards celica's or the C7 club. There were none.

I checked out this forum to see the atmosphere that Ben discribed as a club that "doesn't hate". I imidiately saw bias comments and decided to bring these to your attension. However, those comments have been spoken for and enough is enough.

There has been some talk of freindly competion between celicas and integras. I would be more then happy to take part in any organized events between our clubs. I looked at the mods post and noticed that many of you have some pretty sweet suspension setups. I would'nt mind a mosport or shanonville lapping day. Or even drag racing if thats what some of you prefer.
