I have copied this from a post made by G from the CASC Forums.

This sounds and looks like a great way to start learning car control.
Also the prices are not bad at all!

Ian Law's Car Control School is how I discovered Solo II. I highly recommend their course. It allows you to learn in your own vehicle and how to handle emergency situations (emergency lane change, crash avoidance exercises). It also gets you more comfortable with your car - lets you start to explore the limits. If you have never tried anything like this you will be surprised at what your car can really do - whatever car that you might be driving.

Their website suggests they do Corporate an dClub days, maybe a group thing could be done on a weekend that suits the C7 club...

The winter school I took was amazing, I learned a lot. I'd definitely recommend it.
I did mine at the MCO but I'd assume it's a similar program.

Lots of fun doing the slippy course too :)

I would definitely love to do it. It'd be funny seeing me trying to race through an autocross track with a car designed to have full boost hit halfway through forth :P Might have to steal my dad's bmw ... hehe

Well, the idea is you learn how to control the vehicle you'll be driving in the winter in poor conditions.
It'd be more fun to do a slush and slide event, I got stuck behidn some old lady doing the school going 10km/h... frustrating as hell when I wanted to get going :P

ok.. i e mailed them and this is the responce i got.
Looks like we will need a few more people to get a bit of a discount.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your interest in our Car Control Schools.

To do an "Exclusive Club" date, we would need between 12 and 25 members. If
there are less that 12, we will simply train whichever members sign up and
then open up any remaining spots to the general public.

The cost would depend on the number of members signed up. If there are 15 or
less, the cost will be $195 + gst = $210 per driver (includes lunch,
handbook and certificate). If there are 16 to 20, we can offer the course
for $175 + gst each. Note: these are 2005 prices and if you can commit to a
Club date, we will hold the 2005 prices. We have to hear from our insurance
providers and facility partners to see how much the 2006 prices will
increase. The Winter Schools cost $240 + gst as we need to rent 2 facilities
in Minden for this course.

We do recommend you take either the Car Control School or Winter School
before taking the Advanced Autoslalom course. It is like learning to walk
before you run. There is a lot to learn. The Advanced course deals with
competition driving techniques only, so to be a complete driver, the skills
we teach in the Car Control School (how to control your vehicle) is the best
way to start off. It is advanced driver training and you will learn skills
you have never been shown before.

Please let me know if you or any of your members have any other questions.

Sincerely,

Ian Law
