They have been posted

http://www.casc.on.ca/documents/regulations/06GCR.pdf

One thing i have not seen in them are the vehicle classing's

IM really curious because in the SCCA rules the Celica GTS has been moved from DS to GS and from what i have been told is that this change will most likely transfer over to the CASC classing as well.

whats DS vs GS ?

DS = (D) group (S) stock class
GS = (G) group (S) stock class

it's how the cars are grouped in which class, they are suppose to be in groups of cars which are compeditive with each other. they move cars to different groups as new cars come out and change the speed average level of competition. but lately it seems the scca has just been moving cars around for the hell of it. Although the celica gts was called too high in DS, DS is rulled by the integra type r, and the celica gts with an open front diff can't compete with the type r and hit's stock helical diff. If the celica had a lsd in the front end it would have been a compeditive car with the type r.

casc as well as cscc, wcma, cacc, cac, cnac, vcmc, and all the rest of the canadian factions follow the stock grouping classes of the scca. Everyone will move the move, the only time that everyone doesn't nessarily follow the move is if it's a move in SP (street prepared) or P (prepared) or M (Modified) class.

yes GS is a lower class then DS.

Hey Warren. So if im currently In DSP would that mean that i would stay in that same class?

I'm sure the celica will stay in DSP, it's a compeditive car in DSP. ESP is where the big "musle cars" and the AWD turbo cars go, and fsp is a lot slower of a class (the ae86 was there for a year or 2, dominated it, so they moved it back to DSP). CSP is dominated by the miata (which the celica can't keep upto), BSP I don't remember what's even in that class....., ASP is the higher end stuff (usually the porshce's or z06's or production lotus's dominte this class). DSP is the right place for the celica IMO and I'm sure it will stay there.

Cool. Thanks Warren, I really did not want to move classes just when im starting to settle into the pace.
Last year the big competitors in DSP were two Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS's and a VW Sciroccco. Just completely outperformed my driving and my car itself.
But mostly my driving is to blame :giggle:
