Toyota to market fuel-cell hybrid cars to local gov'ts

NAGOYA — Toyota Motor Corp said Tuesday it will soon lease six of its hydrogen-powered, fuel-cell hybrid vehicles to the Aichi prefectural government, the Nagoya municipal government and four private energy-related companies.
Japan's biggest automaker said its recent agreements with the local governments, Iwatani International Corp, Nippon Oil Corp, Tokyo Gas Co and Toho Gas Co, mark the first lease ever of fuel-cell vehicles in Japan to local governments or private companies. (Kyodo News)
