Hey all,

Just poking in to see what's going on over here. Looks like everything is cool, and more importantly everyone is cool. Kinda reminds me of driving around with my roof open.

Lots of familiar names, I think I've met most of you on the Fall Colours Tour.

well manny ain't online but i'm sure he'll reply later .. basically what happened is Grant (VeilCeli on celispeed) posted about how great he thought the Rx-8 was .. Manny posted something about how its a mazda which is really just ford and how they just don't have the same quality as say Honda or Toyota .. everyone got offended .. name calling started then poof went the thread

Why would people get offended? It's TRUE.. Honda has STUPID quality standards. And Toyota? They apparently didn't think that the industry standards were quite right and thus invented there own. Tiger used to work with some of these automotive industrial systems. We'll have to get her to enlighten us..

Just slightly HUGE differences between "Import" and "Domestic".

Having worked for companys that make parts for Honda and watching my colleagues do assembly lines for Toyota and then hearing thier stories about the "other" places..... Lets just say that I'm nervous driving my dad's Ford and I LOVE driving my Honda!!!! :!:

Just the welding alone go through very High testing procedures before they will accept a line....

Man it seems that every message board eventually turns into a flame fest. Thats why Im here even though I drive a Protege. The Toronto protege club doesnt have much racers. And reading about who thinks who is stupid for buying a Ractive axel back as opposed to a Vibrant axel back got really annoying.

This board seems cool though. Seems like people who come here are just into cars and not really trying to prove anything. Im interested in Toyota Celicas because I have been finding out how similar they are to Mazda Proteges. Its cool that we have the same type of suspension..... and Mass air flow sensors. :wink:

I think that Celicas would kick ass in auto Xs because our style of suspension gives really good turn in. And of course the Celicas are set up much sportier than the Proteges. So Im looking forward to seeing more on the track this summer. My buddy has a 02 GT but I cant get him to come out. :sad:

I think Toronto needed a new Celica club. I mean one club cant please everyone, right?

We don't take this for granted 7plymaple...expect to see more and more of this in the future...and I'm personally thrilled that you recognize this...

This character of the board that you've noticed, is somehting that we're working on conciously to promote, and encourage...good to hear that the message is getting out...and do spread the word!! :thumbup:

hehehe.
i did take a 407 ramp at 100km/h the other day making use of my suspension. was fantastic.

so far i'm doing quite well....still sticking to my now limited plan on what to get for my celi :P

I would rather see C7 (p?) as a staging ground for people with simiar interests. The fact of the matter is is that Ontario as a province is geographicaly larger then most European countrys. There is NO way we can constantly 'get everyone together'. But if we all can help pool our resources and ideas to help other like minded individuals and groups acheive their goals, then we are doing our job!!
