Paintball Date set! June 14th

Hi all, I know the date conficts with the montreal meet, but I'm sure we have some member who can't make it to mtrl (me included).

Anyway, like I said, I'm organizing this at work, and opening an invitation to c7, unfortuantely the only date that will work with the office is the June 14th.

Alas, the 14th of June it is!!! Sorry for all who can't make it. Perhaps we'll have another go in September....

Pain(t)ball Anyone?

Who is invited?
Everyone is! Invite your friends, family, and paintball enthusiasts.

What is it?
Paintball is basically a bunch of your friends, running around in the woods shooting each other with toy guns. These guns fire paintballs which travel at a velocity of 200 feet per second. The balls explode upon impact, and sting a little, but it’s much safer than the alternative.

Where?
Wasaga beach

When?
SATURDAY JUNE 14TH 9am till 5pm (you may leave at any time)

Why?
Believe it or not, it’s fun. It’s a great excuse to get outside. It’s a great team building exercise. Nothing says team building like screaming “DUCK! RUN! RUN! RUN!” to your co-workers.

How?
1. Cost will be between 25-30 dollars. This includes 100 rounds, a protective poncho, goggles, and a weapon. Please bring additional funds for extra rounds. Budget an additional 20-70 dollars for ammunition depending on how violent you are.

2. Space MAY be limited, so please sign up as early as possible!

3. The paintball fields need to be booked, so we need to confirm our numbers as soon as possible. See 2.

4. A 25 dollar payment is required at sign-up

5. We are expecting a group of 20-25 individuals.

So far we've got 15 or so people who have commited. 3 of which are from C7 (since I haven't mentioned it before, I expect those number to increase).

Ok guys, after much convincing, I think Brent may be coming too. He'll confirm mid-week.

I'm going to shut off registration mid week, so please, if you're toying with the idea of coming, let me know. We've got about 16 people going. It's a lot of fun. If you're sitting on the fence, just go. If you're shy, don't worry we're all nice people. Once you come to one meet you'll break the ice, and feel much more comfortable in our community. If you've never played before, or are nervious about the sport. Don't worry. There will be plenty of newbies.

Last chance everyone!! Get in on it now! It's gonna be a blast.

Here are some hints:
1) Bring lots of water (like LITERS of water - note the plural)
2) Bring good shoes for runing like a mofo.
3) Bring cash for extra paint, and food..
3) Wear loose clothing that you don't mind getting covered in dirt. They give you a smock to pull over your top, so T-Shirts are not a bad idea.. FOR THE LOVE OF <insert fav deity here> DO NOT WEAR SHORTS!!!! :sad:

Otherwise you will present an unreistable target.. :wink:

Apart from that. Come to have fun.. We want to BE in Wasaga for 10:00am so if you miss the convoy (more on that later) you can meet us up there. It's VERY hard to miss. The enterance is Right after the multi-coloured watertower..

Afterwards? Who knows. :D

We're at about 15 people, with a few other possibilities lurking in the wings...

Here's the deal. We will all meet at the colossus and carpool/caravan from there!

We're going to start at 9:30 in wasaga, which means we want to be there for 9. Which means we need to leave colussus at 8, which means you NEED TO BE AT COLOSSUS AT 8! Please don't be late. Show up 15 mins early!!!

Summary:

This Sat carivan to Wasaga paintball, leaving from Colosuss (7 and 400) at 8. Please be prompt. I'll have maps for everyone.

yeah thanks alot John i haven't had that much fun in a long time i'm deffinitly up for round 2 :D yeah Pete speedball was awsome matt was pissed he thought we were out ran right up to us and we unloaded on him

Yah know what though..

Wassaga ROCKS.. I don't know about everyone else, but I came away having a HECK of alot of fun, and feeling like I got my moneys worth again.

Dispite the fact that they had TONNES of people there, they handled everyone well. They have LOTS of staff helping whenever then can, and the food prices and quality were MORE then reasonable..

I mean HECK, they have senerios that we didn't even get to SEE..

Total kudos, and as usual I can't wait to go back.. :D
