Oh ya for sure! Anyone can come out! Thats what Solo 2 is all about! Getting out there! They have loaner helmets if you dont have your own. Other than that you just pay 25 bucks and you get on the track and a Licks burger for lunch! :D

I just went to Cycle world for my helmet. Dont know how their prices compair but I reccomend you get a full faced one if you do so you can always take a ride on a motorcycle or dirtbike.

Oh try to get one thats Snell 2000 approved (I think its 2000). The hershy center events dont check helmets for ratings but some series do.

I don't know why they make you wear a helmet if your car doesn't even have a roll-cage. Seems a little dumb, n'est pas?

I mean, if you roll your car, I'd be much more afraid of the roof collapsing,than bouncing my head off a c-pillar..

And believe me, I've done it. And that's what I was thinking....

Do it Brent, you won't believe the difference, get yourself a decent set of used 15 or 16" alloys (or new if you've recently become rich) tires can be used too but they don't last too long... Maybe Simon can suggest a spot to find the rubber.

Or, if you don't wanna change wheels every week-end go pick yourself up a set of Falken Azenis, they stick like hell (for a non r-compound) and just put your stock tires away to put back on the car when you're done with it or sell 'em.

Well my stockers are GT-S 16 with Yoko Advan, almost bald and one screw pluggin a hole! Hoping to keep these for the rest of my street use this year.
Picked up some 15" GT wheels with shitty all season stock tires(sorry GT owners) and just couldn't get any power, breaking or cornering outa them at the last race. They did get better after a few runs but still crappy.

My concern with Rs are that I don't want to destroy them in a couple races cause I'm still learning to be a good driver. I tend to be very aggresive around the cones, as opposed to some peoples smooth driving style. However the fast and loose style seems to work very well for me :D

Need more advise for the R tires.... please help!!!

I think I'm gonna burn out my stock Yokos on the 16" rims and then replace them with either Khumo street tires are Yoko AVS ES100s. I'll use these for both street and autox until next year when I get some more laps under my belt. I have to replace the street tires anyways very soon, so this is my cheapest option at the moment.

Well dispite the downpour it was still pretty fun tossing the car arround in the rain. I saw the convoy of C7 guys go by the lot too! Looking good guys! Im just glad to be back in some warm dry clothes. mmmmmm

sorry I had to boot early, but the rainy weather was too sucky to just stand around and get drenched...u should have seen Brandon..he looked like a drowned rat :giggle: ... i had an amazing time in Brent's car...it was like he was going crazy accelerating & braking..like a car with terretts syndrome :lol: but man..after I got outa his car..I took mine out into the back parking lot and went mental drifting, and swerving on the wet pavement...:D that was fun!!!!

I think i'm hooked :devil: time for some sliks exhuast, intake...did someone say turbo :devil:

When I got home tonight I pulled the drain plugs from the trunk to get rid of the excessive rain water and moped up the rest. I even had water in my freakin cup holders. Nuts :shock: Definetely a lot of fun racing in the rain though :twisted:

I'm currently using the solo pic of me in the rain as my desktop. Turned out really well considering the dismall conditions. It makes me love the black colour even more know, looks mean :twisted:
