Hello all,

Sadly the summer is coming to an end, which means winter is not too far away. However, before winter comes along, there is one exciting event coming up in the fall.

I know a lot of you have been asking about the Fall Tour for some time now. We are very excited about this event as well and are looking forward to a large attendance this year. Thus, we, the EMT of C7Performance are proud to announce Fall Tour 2007.

For those who are not aware what the Fall Tour event is about, the event started with a select number of drivers who wanted to get together with fellow auto enthusiasts and had about only 12 fellow drivers on the tour. Since then every year after we've had a great turn out of people wanting to go for an end of the season tour. The fall tour is a non-profit event (its totally free) that is made successful by participation of the Ontario and surrounding clubs now reaching numbers of over 500 fellow auto enthusiasts. Click here (http://forums.c7performance.com/video/FallTour.wmv) for a video of one of the past fall tour events.

This highly anticipated event will occur Sunday October 14th 2007. Registration has started, so click on the link provided and register yourself. As well, you will find a link for the waiver that needs to be filled out for the day of the Fall Tour. It is imperative that this waiver be signed and ready to hand to one of the C7 organizers before leaving to start the route. So please be courteous, if you do not have it filled out before leaving, you will be holding up the rest of the line.

Pre-run with EMT of C7 and 1-2 representatives of each car club will occur prior to the Fall Tour. Please choose a representative from your club accordingly and email brandon@c7performance.com

As well, cars will leave with their club, so please stay with your club. There will be a few minutes delay between each club leaving the starting point onto the route, so please be patient. Maps of the route will be provided the day of the event and e-mailed out the day before the event.

Now we are hoping for a huge number of participants for this year. However, I need to emphasize something. As members of car clubs, we need to show the community we are serious about safety. Recklessness will not be tolerated at all at this event. That being said, the police are aware of our event and are supporting our tour. Reckless driving will not be tolerated so please keep this in mind the day of the event.
This year’s event will start on the east side of Toronto (rather than the west) in the Pickering/Whitby area and go north/east. We have arranged a special finish line at a professional race track which we will get to park and enjoy the day.

If any of you guys have any questions, concerns etc., please do not hesitate to contact Brandon (brandon@c7performance.com) or Darryl (Darryl@C7performance.com ). We will be more than happy to help answer any questions.

All being said, let’s make this Fall Tour the best yet! So register yourself and get ready for the highly talked event yet!

Take care,
EMT of C7 Performance

you're not trying hard enough .... tsk tsk tsk lol

If it will be starting in Pickering then it has to be the Pickering Town Centre Parking lot OR (maybe) the WalMart Parking lot early in the day..those are the only parking lots that can handle a huge crowd of people...

If it is in Whitby, then it will most likely be the chuck-e-cheese parking lot off of Thickson Rd. & 401....that's a huge parking lot by itself.....

hrm....am I right???

Well in that case you can expect to see me leading a pack of Camaros and Trans Am's running 5.7 V8's.

But who cares about the size of your engine were going to support the cruise, our club, and our cars. are numbers are climbing so you can expect to see some more numbers then last year (we had 9 cars last year)

Anomili
09-28-2007, 10:26 AM
Hmm... I fear that my little joke is turning into a bit of a "who's engine is bigger" contest, lol. I was just poking fun, the truth is I respect each and every car I have seen so far regardless of quarter times, lap times, or competition rankings. Each car has its own unique characteristic that makes it better than most others (my car's is that it is heavy like a tank so when it hits a wall the wall loses).

So lets keep it civilized please. Turning this event into a standard rice-off (and I am referring to the genre of commentary) is the last thing anyone wants.

SOOOOOOOOO....... who is excited?

My favorite part of last years event was feeling the energy building in the parking lot before we left. Met alot of really cool people that day!

I loved seeing all the nice rides, the progress people where making and just being involved in such a friendly atmosphere.

The great thing about being a car enthusiast is that like our vehicles we too evolve. Quoting a friend " its not stock, it's fully loaded with potential".

Today I may be driving a Ralliart and next year I may driving a muscle car. It's all just being a part of something bigger that will keep me interested for years to come no matter what I own.

Anyone else have any good stories from last years event?

I wouldn't worry about people getting out of hand and it effecting us. The new street racing laws come into effect at midnight tonight I believe. This includes a new charge "stunt driving" which includes everything from burnouts to driving 50+ to tailgating. If you get charged with it you immediately lose your car and license without ability to appeal. You can go to court (I believe), but there is no way you are keeping your car until after the court date.

Consider yourselves warned... the cops are expecting to impound 300+ cars on the thanksgiving long weekend alone. Hell, with the public mood nowadays they could probably find a way to justify deadly force on some guy with a busted tail light.

Nobody has anything to worry about, Yes they are V8 cars but we are good people to drive with, we follow the rules of the road  it's part of being in our club we are very respectful of other peoples property and we are a Very well known club in the KW, Mississauga and Brampton areas.

Yes I drive a V8, so far we don't know where the speedo stops but since it's a vette motor and they clear 300km lets stick with that :D, I don't drive my car over 120, I don't need any trouble with people thinking I'm street racing so you can expect to see us out and not causing trouble.8)

It's all about meeting new people that enjoy the same intrest as us (& to see how much gas we can waste :furious: ;) )

Just an update guys. I sent out the e-mail to everyone who's signed up in the past however.

This is the bottom part of the e-mail

In the past Fall Tours, we have worked alongside MADD and this year we will be doing the same, Kawartha Chapter of Madd will be at the end track handing out ribbons and taking donations. The event will be starting at the AMC complex in Whitby on the North East Corner of the lot, the event will end at the Kawartha Downs Speedway. For those who haven’t heard of this track it is about 45min away from Toronto on the highway and has a Slots Casino and restaurants on site and has been a previous end point in our Poker Run.

On top of it all, Performance Auto and Sound will be making an appearance again. Some of the goodies entail the following:
-Giving away annual subscriptions to their magazine at heavily discounted rates
-There will be FULL event coverage in PAS Mag for the Fall tour
-They will be scouting show cars to feature in upcoming 2008 issues of PAS Mag
-They will be doing a feature on C7Performance
-They will also be scouting other car clubs

So this will be a great event for all involved. Whether your car is completely stock or a show stopper there will be something for everyone! To register please visit http://www.falltour.ca. The route will be posted on falltour.ca the day before the event and e-mailed out to everyone to the e-mail they had signed up with.

- WE WILL START SENDING OUT GROUPS OF CARS AT APPROXIMATELY 10:30AM WITH A SHORT DRIVERS MEETING TO BE HELD JUST PRIOR TO THIS TIME.
- THE TOUR WILL BE APPROXIMATELY 100KM'S OF DRIVING AND YOU WILL BE AT THE END POINT IN ABOUT 1.5 HOURS.
- THE ENDING WILL BE AT KAWARTHA DOWNS AND SPEEDWAY WHERE WE WILL PARK AT THEIR OVAL RACE TRACK.
- PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THERE IS A SLOTS CASINO ON THE PROPERTY SO IF YOU ARE 19 OR OLDER WITH I.D. YOU CAN PLAY TIL THE COWS COME HOME. (gambling is not for everyone so there is no pressure to participate but if you do, please have fun and be responsible)
- BRING CAMERAS AND TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES, WE WILL POST A LINK AFTERWARD FOR YOU TO UPLOAD THEM.
- FRS RADIOS MAY COME IN HANDY OR ANY OTHER TOOLS YOU FEEL MAY BE HELPFUL, GPS ETC. (this is a simple route and you will all have maps the day of the event. Getting lost is hard to do but there is always one lol.)
- MOST IMPORTANTLY, FALL TOUR IS ALWAYS ABOUT MEETING PEOPLE, HAVING FUN AND SUPPORTING A GOOD CAUSE. OUR CAUSE IS MADD (MOTHERS AGAINST DRUNK DRIVING)
- PLEASE ALTHOUGH IT IS NOT REQUIRED BECAUSE THIS IS A FREE EVENT, BRING A COUPLE BUCKS WITH YOU... KAWARTHA LAKES MADD CHAPTER WILL BE AT THE END POINT WORKING HARD TO SPREAD AWARENESS. THEY DO A GREAT JOB AND ANY DONATION NO MATTER HOW SMALL IS APPRECIATED.

- THE END POINT IS SECONDS FROM HWY. 115 WHICH WILL TAKE ANYONE LIVING IN THE GTA HOME IS LESS THEN 45 IN MOST CASES.

Thats all for now but I look forward to meeting everyone and LOOK we are already over 300 cars and there is still 2 weeks!

I don't know if it's illegal or not but i think its best if we put on our hazards so the public can know we're following each other and if part of our group gets stuck behind a light, the guys infront can try to wait til we catch up or something cause last year, the group broke off at the beginning due to a traffic light. Took us forever to catch up, just an idea.

Nah, run it the same as years past. Everyone will have plenty of time to catch up even just doing the speed limits. Lets keep the line moving and drive speed limits. We are leaving in groups like before and for the most part everyone arrives just fine. Please remember that driving below the speed limit is also illegal so don't hold up traffic.

LOL! Seen that one coming, the track manager will be on hand at the finish point so if anyone wants info on things like running KING OF THE HILL next season they can ask when it starts. Thats when two cars are pitted against one another and run the track. It will probably start in the spring.

Also please be advised that there will be someone at the track also trying to have a petition signed or atleast guide you to where you can sign. The track is interested in putting in a 1/4 mile drag strip but needs support from the community. Jimmy Larmer will be at the track and he can tell you more if you are interested.

I just want to say, that having organized small cruises with our club, I know how much work it can be. An event of this size must have constituted allot of hours and KM to finalize.

Good work and big thumbs-up to all involved!!!!

thanx Brandon and Darryl for setting up another successful fall tour...except for the clowns (mustang and rx8) who went on the horse race track. Wasn't able to stick around for long but had a blast nonetheless.

Someone drove on the horsetrack???

yeah they didn't even get 10 yards till Darryl was yelling at em on the megaphone and everyone started to point and laugh, they turned around quick and got off the track ..

BTW, thank you guys for coming. Fall tour is great because of participation and people acting mature and having a good time

Someone drove on the horsetrack???Yea an some idiots in a Mustang and RX-8... And they had the balls to come back and drive around the meet...
