**Fall Tour 2010**

Hello all,

Sadly the summer is coming to an end, which means winter is not too far away. However, before winter comes along, there is one exciting event coming up in the fall.

I know a lot of you have been asking about the Fall Tour for some time now. We are very excited about this event as well and are looking forward to a large attendance this year. Thus, we, the EMT of C7Performance are proud to announce Fall Tour 2009.

This highly anticipated event will occur Sunday October 3rd 2010. Registration has started, so click on the link provided and register yourself. As well, you will find a link for the waiver that needs to be filled out for the day of the Fall Tour. It is imperative that this waiver be signed and ready to hand to one of the C7 organizers before leaving to start the route. So please be courteous, if you do not have it filled out before leaving, you will be holding up the rest of the line.

Pre-run with EMT of C7 and 1-2 representatives of each car club will occur prior to the Fall Tour. The date for the pre-run is Sunday September 26 at noon. We would like for a representative from each club to come to the pre-run so that we can discuss the day of the tour and any other imperative issues. Please email lyla@c7performance.com once you have chosen your representative. We would like to know no later than Wednesday September 22.

As well, cars will leave with their club, so please stay with your club. There will be a few minutes delay between each club leaving the starting point onto the route, so please be patient. Maps of the route will be given the night before as we do a final prerun on the Saturday to ensure no construction is happening, so please be patient with this. It will as well be given the day of the Fall Tour.

Now we are hoping for a huge number of participants for this year. However, we need to emphasize something. As members of car clubs, we need to show the community we are serious about safety. Recklessness will not be tolerated at all at this event. That being said, the police are aware of our event and the tour details. Reckless driving will not be tolerated so please keep this in mind the day of the event.

Starting point will be at the AMC lot at Thickson Road and 401, however we will be parked at the area near AMC and Milestones,so start planning your meeting points. We would like cars to be at the starting point for 9:30am. First group will be leaving at 10:30am with other groups leaving a few minutes later. Endpoint will be at Kawartha Speedway.

That being said we do have access to the track again as the number of feedback we had received was huge. You will be responsible for bringing your own helmet, however loaner helmets will be provided at the track. The helmet required to participate MUST be Snell 2000 or higher rated. Waivers will be provided to sign for racers, as well each racer will need to pay $2 for the race but all money will go towards MADD. For those who will not be racing you are more than welcome to spectate the races and cheer on.

spun off the track and dug into the grass , car lifted on 2 wheels , i ended up getting rocks and dirt stuck between my rims and rubber and its pushed my rubber in about half inch off the rim and warped the rubber , so i might be on winter rubber early , no point in getting new rubber now if its not something that can be fixed , also having problems starting now

That sucks! Sorry to hear :( I did the same thing with my MR2 years ago taking an on-ramp too fast. It ripped my tire right off my rim.

I'm not getting notifications to when the Thread is updated, even though i'm subscribed to it.

I'm hoping it doesn't rain and is decent temps. That way I can actually run the bike. It'll be my last go at it that day, I have to swap out the tires after that and get it ready for next season.

Colin, until I get comfortable with the bike that day, you'll probably be beating me. I think in the straights, I have the advantage though :):)

Right now I see that day being a 50/50 for us. but hell, if you want to try to draft off me, by all means, be my guest. I'll probably be doing the same if your ahead of me on the track. :thumbup:

I don't know how many cars will be on the track, but hopefully I can get a bit of time where it's just me and you on there so I don't have to worry about traffic.

Bad enough to have to worry about bikes running you over on track days if you fall, let alone cars.

There's a saying I usually throw out there at times like these when I'm talking to people who want to race me (Typically Hondas) But it doesn't apply to Colin. The saying is:
"No b00st, No Bottle, Just your Foot on The Throttle Son. Respect This."

But Colin has b00st and skills.

Adrian - Only one car runs at a time unfortunately on this track. So it's all about the times! Actually on this oval I don't push my car. The walls feel way to close for comfort. But yes I have a feeling in the straights you will have a slight advantage haha. And I wish I had boost! I'm just N/A.

Infamous - Actually, surprisingly, there was no damage to the rim at all! It just clean ripped it off the rim.

haha yeah, I remember last year's tour was like end of oct almost nov and people were in T-shirts .. was a chilli day. Was an AMAZING day thanks to everyone who helps, Eric, Duc, Colin and Lyla. Obviously without C7 people helping out the event just wouldn't be the same! was a great time and lots of people positive feedback already !

Oct 3rd, 2010 - Fall Tour


The Fall Tour 2010, organized by C7Performance and sponsored by Nextmod and Advance Powerhouse took place on October 3rd. Earlier this year since there are still leaves on the trees, participants drove through some of the nicest roads in the Whitby - Peterborough area.

With the day starting off at 9c, the smarter participants wore their winter jackets for this event and got to walk around the AMC pre-meet lot to check out all the cars. From one off custom hot rod, to rusted out winter beater, to a not yet available pre-production chevy volt from Michigan, all kinds of cool cars showed up for this fall tour.

The cruise itself took only about 1hr 40mins, but the single lane twisty roads put a smile on all drivers. The fall tour ended at the same oval track as last year, offering participants to go on the track for $2/3 laps. Many took advantage of this while others headed into the casino for some games. As the day came to a close, groups of cars slowly left...

Thank you to Lyla and Brandon from C7Performance for organizing this event! There are so much that goes on behind the scenes that many will never know about, the pre-runs, organizations, time... Thank you to all the organizers!

great pictures. glad i made it out for the pre-meet. wish i could have seen those windy roads, but with two kids and unmodified 99 corolla, it just didn't make sense this year. great to see all the different cars out. next year i will have a full day of participation.

This is a Touge event right? A friend of mine went to the last event at Cayuga and said that there way too many people on the track. How many people usually attend these events? I thinking if he thought there were too many on that track it will be even tighter on Mosport DDT.
