Aldrin 8)
I think I'd like to start by saying Welcome. I was browsing through the new members section and i didn't notice a thread introducing you to the membership here @ C7.
I trust everybody here joins me in welcoming you to the board, and I hope that we see you here often, and possibly at a meet sometime!!
I've heard that you work on cars & stuff so I know the membership here could benefit from your experience. Most of us here, as you prolly know, are into the car, but there are some die hard performance freeks too.
Enjoy your stay here

Welcome dude. I see you are the Celispeed Model Liason. Tough job but someone has to do it, right. And you're a mods technician. What do you mean by that, or is it the obvious? Anyway, I'm sure you will enjoy C7. They are really a bunch of nice people who leave their egos at the door and just have some fun and share ideas and all. Welcome again.

thanks to those with positive replies. for those with negative ones, i hope you have better things to do and try to annoy me with 1 word quips.
Yes, I do work on a lot of cars and have many ongoing projects im involved with. I think its safe to say that i know the 7th gen celica, front to back mods wise.

yah, someone has to do the job of finding hot girls to pose in front of cars and i've taken on that difficult responsibility.
as for the mods technician title. you name it, i've probably installed it on the 7th gen celica. i also do work on other cars, many of which have won awards at major carshows.

Yup 3rd Place Open Toyota Class(Autotech 2003), glad to help on that one.
oh don't forget, I installed byron's deck, single din plate, and fixed his intake. his car won 2 awards, 4th Place Baddest Celica(Importfest 2002) and 1st Place Toyota(First Episode).
also put alot of work on the 2nd Place Baddest MR2(Importfest 2002), and can't forget about the 1st Place Baddest S2000(Importfest 2002) 8)
That should clear up any doubt from the others.

as for my credits, all those awards were won at major carshows where the competition is a WHOLE lot tougher.

its all about having the total package. those items were parts that the other 7th gen celica's didn't have, which set him apart.
most celica's had the ugly black single din trim, with the cd holder on the bottom. byron got the single din trim that centered the deck and matched the rest of the centre console.
most celica's also had the injen cai, byron got the blitz lm filter in blue, which matched well with his spec blue engine plastic, and blue hoses.
byron's choices were to set himself apart from the other celica's, and that's why he won.

actually at importfest 2002, there were a good amount of 7th gen celica's.
off the top of my head:
-nellieb(spec blue with wings west front, sides, wing, 17" axis se7en hid's, panasonic dvd screen, panasonic deck, fosgate subs, autometer gauges, safc (installed by me) injen cai, trd exhaust, trd/prokit drop)
-boi(carbon blue with octane front, trd sides, rear, wing, 18" 5-zigen 5zr, pioneer mp3 player, fosgate subs, hks exhaust, sportline drop)(did alot of work on this car also)
-control one(silver with full veilside kit, 17" 5-zigen s08, c-one scoop, vinyl wrapped scoop, hood, sony deck, jbl amp, fosgate sub, custom enclosure, injen cai, hks gen 2 exhaust)
-byron(silver with kam front/sides, rmm rear/wing, cf hood, 18"oz, graphite grey interior, blitz short ram, tanabe TSRM, spec blue engine plastics)
-celica1(red with full carcept kit)
-darkduwende(black celica with kam front, trd sides, rear, custom red enclosure with the chinese dress fabric)
-a couple of panasonic celicas
-graphite celica(custom vents, roof scoop, full red interior, fosgate subs in matching graphite gray enclosure)
and actually, byron wasn't the first to be modded. john(boi) and frankie(rn2nvs) if i remember right, both had celica's that were fully kitted, with rims, and many other mods.
byron is probably one of the first to go crazy modded in a short amount of time in this area (cf hood, 18"oz,trd exhaust, then blitz nurspec, then tanabe tsrm, hotchkis sway bar), and crap load of other small stuff. then again, he had a lot of money to burn.

tsx or MAYBE (that's a big maybe) G35 coupe  I was looking under the hood of both the RSX type S and the TSX to compare everything and noticed that the TSX has quite a bit more room to work with...I dont know if that was the problem with the RSX intake install but I'm sure the bigger space would help

yup space was the big issue. had to relocate the windshield washer resovoir to the other side.
id personally get the 350z over the g35. sportier, rays engineering forged wheels, brembo brake package. its a winner out of the box.

I love both the z and the g35 for different reasons...I like the luxury of the G35 but I love the pure sportiness of the Z...I like the interior a lot better on the G35...I like the front of the Z but the rear of the G35...both amazing cars in my eyes and it would hard to go wrong with either....god this is wishful thinking on my part lol

I wonder if one is better in the snow then the other...I definitly need something that wont be getting stuck like my celi in the snow

-steelies with good winter rubber
-soft feet on the clutch and gas
the winters here aren't that bad. most people know better not to go out on major snow storms, and the snow removal is pretty good.
so i don't think you have to worry about getting it stuck. just gotta use common sense.

They both come with LSD diff and if they have electronic traction control it would be an easy car to drive in the winter. Besides rear wheel drive is so much fun in all weather conditions :D

Just wanted to give you props, Aldrin. After reading the previous posts from Dave (SilverCelica) it seemed to me that he was enticing you into an argument. Perhaps you know each other and it was just for fun. If not, props for not jumping into an argument with him. If I got it all wrong, sorry Dave.

yup he was trying to entice an argument. as some people can't admit that i've done work on award winning cars.
i'm not stupid to get into a argument with him, as I will most likely be banned, while he is still allowed to post.
