With all the talk of us doing some real driving this year, I thought I better post this site as it's the official Ontario site for this stuff.
http://www.soloontario.com/
Solo I is basically track racing at Shannonville or Mosport. You are timed and scored depending on the class of your vehicle and mods. This is more expensive than Solo II(Autox) and more dangerous. As a caution some people have destroyed there cars here and even one fella died last year from over-driving their cars and probably a lack of experience. One most know there own limits and their cars limits.
Solo II (Auto X) is an excellent place to start learning proper car control. Lot's of fun, much-much safer and very cheap. Usually about $25 per event, which you get 3-5 official runs and then fun laps at the end of the day. Total rush and the people are all very down to earth and sociable, doesn't matter if you drive a Porsche or 15 year old Pony. It's all about fun with a little bit of competition to wet your appetities :D
