alright since we plan to have c7 out in full force at this event, its never to early to look over the registration material.

according to the website:
car clubs registration (must be completed prior to june 1, 2003...the earlier the better). registration is already being accepted.

package a: 10 car set - $500.00 total = $50/car.
package b: 20 car set - $900.00 total = $45/car.

all entries will receive 2 weekend passes (you + guest), darknights t-shirt, darknights baseball caps, meguiars grab bag (first come first serve).


in addition to awards for best paint etc., there will also be awards for baddest team (best presence, team models, set up, display, etc) and sweetest model of the show.

I'm so in for this!...but my car will not be all jazzed up with rims, kit and stuff...is that OK? Basically I will have Injen CAI, TRD Exhaust, redout taillights, clear bumper lenses, TRD SS and thats about it...Hopefully I will have Grants S2K antenna and his APC tower bar for 65 bux...and maybe my system by then too....but I dont think the kit is good thing right now...I may wait until next year and get a Kaminari kit if I dont move away to university....

We should just get together a big group, camp out, and have a good ol' time...the awards are secondary..we'll meet, greet, and party...it's gonna be HOT!!

I admire the enthusiasm for entering, but how many of you will have a car suped up enough (read: not just rims and a kit) to make it worthy?

well I'm not going to win. But I'll have the CF hood, AFC, Mp3 deck, painted interior, rims, kit and nitrous.

what do you consider worthy? i'm not going in to win, nor do i expect to win. for me, entering shows is just a chance to show others what i do for a hobby and how i design my car.

the cars that win most of the time are non-daily driven.

i live by my theory and statement regarding shows: "the more money you put in, the better chance you have to win."

what i do to my car is purely for my self-interest. it would be nice to win something but its not a big deal to me.

like my car...gonna be pure show (but my own show)...I couldn't care less what so called "judges" think about my ride...but I LOVE the scene there...the babes...the music...the partying..it's a great time...

I wonder how many people actually enter these things to "compete"...

I'm a little embarased about my OWN car. But I think what we are doing is the RIGHT thing.

We are promoting the club. Various member's in various stages of 'moding', but all of us having a shit load of fun, and helping each other out..

THAT is worth more then a set of rims..

... 'cides I actualy PREFER my stock look (plus I can't kit with those TRD Mud Flaps), and big rims add weight.. :smile:

you could probably get your car into the audio section .. with that huge ass stereo .. not to mention you'd probably have the nicest one there. Last year it was all crap boxes with the stereo's ..

hey man i recently bought my car like in november and its a 03 celica gt... and all i have is the trd full body kit and spoiler.. and a painted interior.. i dont think its what you consider worthy lol but im the type of person that considers teh more all go and no show type.. because if your car is all show then what do you have to back it up? and if your car is all go then ill respect you completely for the time and effort you put in for the mods in your car... i wish i could join you but i have to work my ass off for the car but i do plan on being there!! hopefully see you guys and show you who i run with :wink: btw when i mean all go i mean spankin the crap out of civics!! :smile:

But on another note about having close to stock Celicas there, did you not see the Mazda Protege5 car lot there last year? :D

I think the most disapointing car I saw at darknights last year was a COMPLETELY bone stock just rolled off the assembly line Civic SIR . I don't care how new it was at the time or re-designed .. it was STOCK and I mean STOCK .. no body kit no rims .. just stock
