Heard on the news today, the Drive Clean Program is being phased out over the next 4 years. Reason behind it is new cars are becomming cleaner and much more efficient, so the government feels Drive Clean won't be necessary... and those that do polute the air will probably end up i a junk yard real soon! :giggle:

It doesn't affect you 7th genners, but I gotta pay for emissions every 2 years... Some testers are crooks...

Also, I suppose this might mean no more worrying about headers, and other exhaust mods?...

most likely it'll only apply to new cars coming out...

all the old used cars will still probably have to go thur it..

Kind of feel sorry for the garages that invested $60,000 for the equipment.

Werd.
If they can't milk it out of Drive Clean, it's gonna come from somewhere else!

Grant, turboed cars usually pass emissions better than N/A...
just lean it out for the test, advance the timing and get warmer spark plugs... I heard of a few guys passing with gutted cats

I just heard from one of my friends, who used to work with the federal govement and has a connection with the Emmission Program, that the announcement was to gauge public reaction.

I hope no one changed their cars too much! :D
