Hello !!!

1) Sorry for my poor english, as you will see it´s not perfect than yours.

Ok ..... My last name is Barquero and I´m from Costa Rica, I was searching for some pictures of Celicas and I discovered this Web Site.

I´m working in TOYOTA Costa Rica in the marketing department so one of my responsabilities is the image of our Rally Team.

The Rally Championship of this year in my country will star this saturday and we ( the team ) are preparing our cars.

Our Rally Team are: 1 Yaris ( Echo ), 1 Corolla TSport and 1 Celica GTS. If you want to see some pictures of our Celica, you can check our motorsports web site: www.purdysport.com, then click in the “ESCUDERIA” section, and then in Gallery. I hope you like them.

You´ll see the Celica all red, those pictures were taken in the 2001 season, the Celica RED - WHITE were the last year and hopefully the next monday I will upload pictures of this year.

I just want to share pictures of our Celica with you because I saw that you really love this car.

Hey Barquero, thanks for stopping by and sharing your Toyota rally team from Costa Rica! That's one of my next vacation areas!

Nice pics of the rally cars. Looks like you guys get the Corrola hatch. Canada is missing that car :(

How do you drivers find rallying the GTS? When the lift kicks in does it produces a bit of a handling problem or are you using a different or modified motor?

As you'll soon find out, there's a few rally nuts(such as myself) on this site :D

One last question.... what sort of suspension setup are you using? Custom valved coil overs no doubt...

WOW ........ I opened the web today and I had a lot of answers ...... THANK YOU for your warm welcome.

Remember ..... you have to excuse my english. :oops:

I´m glad that you like the pictures ...... I already uploaded a 8 new Wallpapers of Celicas in the Wallpaper section of www.purdysport.com, I hope you like them.

One of this is the AMAZING Celica Cruiser Deck Edition ( Wave Runner it´s not included ) :D and the New Celica TSport Edition. Also you will see a 1974´s Rally Celica.

To B-GTS: I will ask to the mechanics about the suspension that we are using. About the engine its completely stock, because FIA don´t allow to have modifications in the engine, we just can use a special gearbox, suspension and exhaust.

To Baby Girl: Heeyy ... do you speak spanish ??? .... Estoy muy bien y tu como estas ???

To I eat glue: Well ... what can I say ??? ..... Our driver says that the Celica its an amazing car to race and we won the Championship 2 years ago. Here we race 4 times in dirt and 2 in paviment.

We won the Championship against:

2 Hyunday Tuscani or Tiburon
1 Renalut Clio Sport 2.0
1 Nissan Sentra SER
1 Corolla TSport ( Ours )
2 Peugeot RS 1.6

Hello ...

Great news from our Rally Team. We won all the categories the last saturday.

In the N3 Category the positions were:

1- Toyota Corolla TSport: 45:27:27
2- Toyota Celica GTS: 46:22:26
3- Hyundai Tiburon: 46:42:25

In the N1 Category:

1- Toyota Yaris: 47:49:19
2- Toyota Yaris: 51:13:33
3- Renault Clio: 52:13:11

The Celica was in 2nd place because had some problems in the clutch system.
