My Dyno run

OK, while some of you were enjoying the Poker Run (I should have been there too :| ) I was in Michigan on an GTFOUR Dyno meet!

Here is what the car is capable of now:
243hp and 243lbs of torque to the 4 wheels on 20psi of boost with Water Injection... :D

this was done on a Mustang dyno, and just as a comparison a stock STI does ~230hp on that dyno.
I must say, I'm pretty happy with the results!!!

Awesome Les, makes me envious! I think a stock WRX only puts like 165 HP to the wheels.

No too bad... the WRX weighs in at 3000lbs, so I would need 215 WHP too match your power to weight ratio.

They are Heavy for a REASON my freind.. I immagine that all that extra drive-line equiptment and reenforcements add the weight on quickly..

I suppose you likely could free up weight, but then the chances of the car breaking would increase..

The Subaru and GT4 appear to be VERY tough cars..

Yeah I know the car weights as much as a tank!
Not much can be done about the weight other than stripping the interior and changing the seats to something like Sparco... lighter hood, and so on...
The drive train system on the GTFOUR is very tough but also very heavy, the tranny alone weights probably as much as Gen7's entire motor with it's tranny and then there is the IRON BLOCK!
...and then there is the rear diff - easily 80lbs and the main shaft that goes to the back wheels - probably about 200lbs...
I'm not a drag racer so most of u guys would probably kick my ass on the drag strip anyway... I like the heritage of the car (rally) and how it behaves on lose surfaces!!!

But if anyone feels like they want to challange me to test their hp/weight ratio theories - i'll be more than happy to give them that opportunity!!! :twisted:
