I'm wondering if C7 should be getting a team area .. takes 10 cars

I'm just wondering who would be in.

I know the people who would be interested so far from what I understood was

I'd love to be in, but I don't think I'd turn too many heads with my s2k antenna

yeah I was thinking of having a C7 performance section .. thats cool. I'm polling interest .. its not about being heavily modified .. we'll have a couple nice cars, Mark and Waykewl obviously have the nice systems. Pete has a killer car. I think mine is alright .. its a team thing :D

just a heads up, there IS a minimum requirement for these shows..

if ur not dropped, kitted, sitting on at least 17s, you'd look really out of place..

hehe yeah there was some cars last year that was outta place . there was some civic up on a platform .. completely stock .. also I heard the subaru club was there most all completly stock .. meh

that being said...C7 DOESN'T intend on excluding any car STOCK or NOT...from joining our entry...our club and our events aren't ever about just cars...it's about people too ...so any of you thinking of joining in on this huge party that aren't modded out...don't worry about it...cuz' we want you there...

On the flip side...don't expect to win awards (which I'm sure you won't)..but expect to be part of a fun team, there for a good time...

that's the key message here on this event for c7...come out see some nice rides, and most of all have a great time...that's the ONLY reason I'm going...

it's a CAR show, not a GREAT PEOPLE show...

the subu club is sponsered by subu canada, thus they are always at shows w/ stock cars.

but yeah, everyone, regardless of what they have done to their car, is welcome to come out with c7. :smile:

Sorry grant I don't agree .. I could easily say you won't win over that Silver/Grey Celica with the 15k in body work done that was sponsored by Meguires (sp) so don't bother taking up space .. if everyone did that it would be a sad show

yup...pay your way,and you can stay...that's pretty much the message here.

If it was meant to be anything more..the show and it's entry rules would have been designed that way...why on earth would so many PEOPLE show up ..just to stand around and look at other cars?? ...NO..not the case... the whole reason cars show up is cuz' their drivers have a common interest... how many people do you honestly think show up expecting to win something?

Dark Knights is WAY more than a audio or performance competition weekend...I knew about dark knights before I was even remotely intersted in modding...I went for the parties...

Perhaps what we are getting at here is a differnce in culture? The Street Rod shows are 'come as you are and you'll leave the better for it'. Hell Tiger's dad goes down in his primered Beater Rod and came back with a custom painted set of Flames on it. People helping each other make it better.

I'd in on going JUST to show people that there is an alternative, the "Torreto ass-monkey" culture. ('course I'll still hopefuly be sportin' a few additional goodies by then too).

Wait till ye see what we're gonna do to Tiger's car. <<heh heh heh>>

IMHO I think it's great to get all the guys out there but I don't think that stock Celicas should be entered in the show.

So I kinda agree with Grant on this one. But like I said I do however think it's great if everyone comes out to enjoy the show - I just don't feel anyone should be competing with a stock car.

there's no harm in everyone coming out to enjoy the show and hang out during the day, but why spend $65 to enter with a stock or at least near stock car? it takes the whole point away from the show.

I just am trying to look at it from a 'spectator' point of view and I know that if I paid money to go to a car show - I'd be pretty disappointed to walk through and see a bunch of the same cars that I'd see at the dealership lot!

definately didn't even think of that point either! you're forgetting that these ppl are paying $20/piece to look at YOUR CARS. i know i would be pretty damn pissed if i paid that much to check out the show and saw what i could have seen on a dealership lot for free!

hehe you're missing some of the point guys its not going to be all stock cars. C7 is going to be getting a team area. Most of the cars will have mods. There will be a couple without .. relax

To argue the point isn't really going to change much..you guys have valid points, but we hope you see ours too...The C7 Team entry has and will be open to ANY car that wishes to join.

We will not discourage any car, stock or not, from joining. Although there will be heavily modded cars there...we aren't forming a team entry for the benefit of everybody else...we're paying our entry fees so WE can participate, and have a good time..NOT so someone who came to see the show feel's that much more satisfied.

It sounds more like you guys are speaking as organizers of the event as opposed to simply being participating entries. But interestingly, the event doesn't exclude "stock" cars in their entry regulations...if this was an issue for the organizers it would have been addressed. Apparently it's a bigger deal to you than it is them. lol!!

Grant you are 100% correct that stock cars stand out. However in a team section if there is a couple stocks between a couple modded I don't think there is any big deal everyones got valid points .. lets leave it at that :D

I think there are good points in both arguments, I'd almost argue that a stock car will look more modded than a bunch of celis all with the same ww kit, but never the less, I must agree with the stock comment. Nobody's coming to see stock cars. If I were coming to represent the "people" side of C7, I'll bring my person.

Unless the coveted prize of "most stock" contains a molly kit :)
