C7 & TOYOTA CANADA : Partnership Announcement

In our ongoing efforts to build and strengthen community and corporate relations I am pleased to formally annouce C7's exciting new partnership with Toyota Canada.

C7 will be appearing at automotive enthusiast shows nation-wide promoting the Toyota Brand, the TRD Marque, and representing the sport-compact community at large. Confirmed dates & shows include appearances in the Greater Toronto Area @ Dark Knights Nationals July 17 & 18, 2004, Sport Compact Show in Edmonton July 24, 2004. Additional venues across Canada to be announced once details become availalble.

C7 EMT will be contacting members that expressed an interest in club representation to confirm their participation. Members interested in participating in C7's onging marketing & promotions activites are encouraged to contact Brandon Vignando. C7's representation at these promotional events is not limited to the Celica brand, but is open to any Toyota branded cars that are show-ready and modified. C7 reserves the right to limit the number of participating show-cars and unfortunately not everyone interested can be selected for representation

Those indivdiuals that are interested in participating in these cross promotional opportunities with Toyota & C7, who are not currently members of C7, are encouraged to submit their requests for consideration.

The "meaning" is not a focus on performance improvements. For us, this is about building the C7 community and representing the sport-compact community to the public in a professional way.

For Toyota Canada the intention is to build brand awareness, loyalty, and promote the line of products they do offer in away that doesn't take away from their primary market capitilization, that being the consumer passenger market , and their ever evolving efforts to increase market share in the domestic light & heavy duty truck markets.

Toyota Canada has never placed a focus on this relatively small "tuner" market, but is moving forward to increase their exposure selectively.

The "meaning" of this annoucement is more relevant to our organization, than it may be to other clubs or enthusiast groups.

lol..this event will definatly help their bottom line in the long run...this as a way to show others what one can do with a Celica, Matrix, Echo, etc...with a little creativity...

The C7 community's reach is widened to a broader audience (that being the public) and our presence within the sport-compact community is strengthened.

Individual C7 members that participate will enjoy the benefits that come with appearing at a show. Many members are in the process of building their rides, and accepting and soliciting sponsors. To be present at Canada's largest sport-compact show benefits them in several ways, including increasing exposure of their individual rides, and appearing with an organized club ogranization like C7 Performance while also cross promoting the Toyota brand, also enhances that individuals credibility and future opportunity to secure more valuable sponsor deals.

This essentialy is a promotional event for everyone involved..right down to the individual participant :thumbup:

Last year was tons of fun. So hopefully we see everyone out there either with the car or even spectating. I had a blast last year (hell of a sunburn too :lol: )

Guys, no need to be negative! This is free entry for those who were interested in competing in DarkKnights anyway, with the added bonus of being in the Toyota Display. Having ears of Toyota people, and working WITH Toyota to display your cars. Nobody is selling out here. C7 gets great exposure at DarkKnights as our decals and amazing club personalities will be front and center. As Prafull said, our members will finally get the attention they deserve.

Best of all, our club looks professional and organized because we're working with our manufacturer. Not too many other clubs have this sort of opportunity!

TRD USA will have a rep @ the Toyota tent as well..it's going to be a good opportunity to really get some great exposure.

Keep in mind that this announcement will be calling for cars in the cities that Toyota will be participating in... so if Toyota Canada isn't making an entry into a particular show, then we won't be offering any partner relations for that show ... again..once we have a list of additional venues confirmed we will make that information availalble :thumbup:

As well, this in no way limits invidual members from participating in shows representing C7 or otherwise at anytime...

Absolutely Mike..when will be having a meeting, and an email-package going out to all that are participating highlighting the logistical details, along with the practical information you'll need to be aware of including all details, requirements, etc.

Currently as an FYI, as Toyota Canada is a Double Platinum sponsor for this years Dark Knights Nationals, they are working on a priority access entry on & off the field .. stay tuned for details 8)

you have done so much for others to learn from..been through so much crap modding your car over & over...people really look towards you for advice, and guidance..

We have always tried to keep a neutral & positive stand on accepting anyone & everyone here @ C7.

It should be completely clear to you that if you're even thinking of attending with us, please let Brandon know and we'll be sure to have you join us..like I said..it would really compliment our group to have you join us for the show.

having said that, we assumed that you were entering with another club, or possibly with one of your sponsors...if anything has changed please let Brandon know asap..as our spaces are filling up quickly :thumbup:
