No idea. The idea is that you use the celica pen, and then rub away the blob? If that's the case, I'd imagine any rubbing compound that you can buy at crappy tire would do. You don't need ot buy any fancy 20$ stuff.

God knows we all have enough rock chips.

Shall I start my "toyota should repaint our cars" rant again?

Are you all sick of hearing it yet?

I'm sure it will. That's why you'll have to be careful. Remember there is no mirical cure. You'll still need a bit of skill to make it look nice.

Nah.. I don't mind the rock chips. It's the BUG chips that realy tick me off. I hesitate to put a bra on my car simply because I worry about the vibration in the fitment, and the potentail that the bra may cause as much damage as da bugs.

How 'bout a 'touch-up' and 'clear-coat' group buy? :D

I'llbe doing a few pen touch ups...I heard about a good technique....you fix the chips over a period of a few days...first day you apply first coat (not a blob)...then a second, thrid, etc allowing for ample drying time, then finish off with a clear coat celi-pen...you're building up layers and literally filling the "crevice" or cavity that the chip originally started as...then over several applications the crevice disappears...others that use this method say that the job loooks beautiful as long as it's not rushed...I have a my celi-pen..so we'll see how it goes...no fucking bra's on my ride...no thanks...so ugly...and like Mark said...you car can be worse if they're applied incorreclty...

"No matter how careful you are, it's bound to happen. so here's how to fix it. To make sure you get the right color paint, stop by your local dealer and tell them the make, model, and color of your car, and they'll match it all up for you. Once you've got the right color, follow the instructions below.
Take isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) on a q-tip and dab it in the rock chip a few times. Take a clean towel and the dry chip. Take a match out of a match book. Use the opposite end of the head. Dab this in touch-up paint. (Do not thin out touch-up paint.) Very carefully, dab a very, very minute amount in the chip. Do not get any paint anywhere other then the chip depression. The trick here is not to try to fix the chip in one application. Do this every day until the paint in the chip is even with the rest of the paint surface. If you do this correctly, you will hardly notice the chip repair. You can compound the repair by hand very gently to even out the chip repair.

Remember have patience. Don't try to touch-up the chip all at once. It's a gradual building up of the paint, that's the trick."

Oh and don't use the toyota pen cause it's not fine enough to get into the chipped area, you end up with blotches everywhere..

GAH PAINT!

" I dont know if we get some free stuff.. but we never know :o

Go brandon, jump on it. I think 80 members represents a car club. Expecially since the site hasn't gone official yet.

Alex, you have to change your avatar man. You're turning me on.
