well there is a couple things. I've used it on some old computer cd-roms and such just to test it out. Its not like spray paint at all. Its VERY VERY thick, its very hard to control, also the dye I'm getting for my dash isn't vinyl dye its something else (i forget whats its called, I know it comes from germany).

I think after using the vinyl dye it would be alright if I had a professional hand but I just don't. I would be spending tons of time doing this (probably like 2 days at least). Also most people have to prep material (just as when you paint something in your house you would use a primier first). Its a lot of work, so when the guy said it would take an afternoon and he explained all the items used I definately think its worth $400.

That way I get a garentee its going to turn out good. The guy said he will warranty the work for peeling,bubbling and such.

The tint spray was a joke in how easy it went on in comparision. The Vinyl dye is more like spraying on yogurt and trying to make sure its smooth lol

folia tec makes interior paint, caliper paint etc.
i used their caliper paint. quality stuff.
