I took it upon myself to create this year's Solo 2 compilation video.
It's done to the song Powertrip by Monster Magnet.

Well, I've got a company car that I drive around every day with. But obviously I can't race in that.

I've also bought a dedicated race car, but it's not street legal yet, so I can't do anything with it unless I borrow my friends truck, and tow it to each event.
It's an 86 MR2 btw. Previous owner used it as a performance rally car for 5 years until it failed tech inspection. I'm going to fix it up and rally it myself. I've already run it at 1 solo 2 event. But I did really badly. The suspension SUCKS! The previous owner was bragging that he's got these custom spring rates and it makes the car really easy to drive. But personally, I think that guy has NO IDEA how to drive. The front springs are ultra soft, and the rears are ultra hard, which is VERY BAD in a rwd car. Because there is NO rear weight transfer, it's impossible to put the power down without spinning the wheels (or the whole car). But it does let you drive straight into the corner, give it some gas and the car will pivot around the front wheels, then accelerate. Which is easy to do, but it is a very slow way of driving... now look at me, I'm ranting...

Actually, if anybody here is going to the rallysprint next weekend. You'll see my new car in action.

Are you going to the Rally X this weekend in Bancroft or something different? I was planning on checking it out this weekend!

Yup, I'll be racing the new car in Bancroft this weekend.
A bunch of Solo 2 guys are going down to Detroit on the same day for a HUGE American style solo 2. I'm really sorry I'm missing that. But it's really important for me to see how the MR2 handles on gravel.
