ya. I know its not as good as it used to be but should be cool tho. they've had to move the "testing" to their underground bay. guess it got too loud in the parking lot. lol. but should be a nice showing of cars. only take 50 tho. runs from 10-2 or 3 usually.
can't wait!

Well didn't do as good as expected. But 1st SPL comp ever, so can't complain.
Hit 136.1 was my highest of 3 runs. Winner hit 145.1 with 2 12's beating a guy with 6 15's.
2 more next month, but plan on changing some stuff to get a higher score.
Lol, I was told I won best car, haha, too bad no trophy for that. I'm happy, beat a guy with 3 12's. Messed up classes tho. Oh well.

Nice to see you won nicest car ;)

When I got my system installed the guy at the shop set it up for SQ rather than SPL and I got up to 143.6 I was pretty pleased with that. He said it would have been a little bit higher if it wasn't so muggy out that day.

He told me I should enter the sound-off they were hosting a few weeks later, but I figured it would be a complete waste of time and there would be some people hitting much higher but that wasn't the case. A few people I know went down and entered their cars and the highest was a 138 I believe.

The guy with 6 15's must feel like he wasted a pile of money right now lol...

cool. well I talked to him for a bit, didn't have proper music for it. still won his class.
ya the guy that set mine up was saying that, getting hotter so wasn't hitting high enough. plan on getting mine retuned in a few weeks and a custom box in a month or so.
what size do you have?

I have 2 12" PG Octane ZR's powered by a PG Octane R 800 watt amp.
Its a sealed box, which is why I also hit low #'s. Plus I think its not all that great of a box. Custom box & dynomat truck should help me :) Not the decision comes again, do i go sealed or ported...hmmm

I just have a custom box with:
2 10" MTX Thunder 8000-Series Competition subs being ran on a Kicker KX 400.1 Class D Amplifier.
2 10" Pioneer IMPP subs, pretty low-end, but have always satisfied me for quality. They are being run on a Kenwood 350Watt Stereo Amplifier, again pretty low-end but i've had it for around 4 years with no trouble at all, and for two winters it was in the back of a Tracker, with a roof that wouldn't close up in the back corner and was often covered in snow lol...

It's alright, would be much better if I could switch up the Kenwood/Pioneer combo with more of the Kicker/MTX stuff. The different subs hit different frequencies so it gives me cancellation and the SPL won't get as high.
