This was a practice event/test day that was held about a month ago. Although it took place on one of the official Tall Pines roads. It's a 13.6km stage known as "The Peanut". I think it's called that because of the shape of the stage. It's a big circle, and you end up where you started, it's roughly shaped like a peanut. It was the perfect stage for a practice day, because we had a single service area near the start, and we could just keep going around and around till we broke our car. :driving:
It was definately a fantastic day for us. I learned alot about driving in those conditions, Alex learned alot about codriving. And we all learned alot about car prep. It was excellent to be able to break-in our car in a non-competitive, low-pressure setting. I could play around and try things and have alot of fun, and learn to go fast, without actually having to go fast.
It's going to make a HUGE difference for us at Black Bear. Instead of starting really slow and gradually picking up speed. We'll be able to start at a reasonable pace and gradually pick up speed.
Edit: I can't remember if I've posted this pic on this site yet:

That's our mascot/air freshener. You may remember him from my ice racing in-car footage as well. He was a $1 impulse buy during one of our many trips to princess auto.
