tint my windows?

I've been thinking about it,but I'm not sure if I should get my windows tinted or not. If I did,it wouldn't be a dark tint,it would be like a smoked tint,like my plate covers,to give the car a clean,monochrome look,nothing really contrasting.

Whaddya think? Anyone want to photoshop a pic of my car with what it would look like with smoked tints?

To tint or not to tint. That is the question. :?

tint it for sure. in addition to enhancing your cars appearance, tint will also help block out the dangerous sunlight 8)

yeah,but I don't want mine a dark tint like Pete's,although his looks really good,I'm thinking a lighter tint for mine,just a little bit darker than the plate covers.

I have to admit that my car does look good even without the windows tinted.

But with them tinted,that's true it would keep out some of the light and my interior materials won't fade as quickly. Even though for a 16 year old car,the interior is like brand new.

thanks :smile: the tint on my front side windows is the legal maximum. any darker is considered illegal. its not to dark when its sunny, however on a cloudy or rainy day it looks pitch black.

i had mine done at apple autoglass.
but a couple members have/and will go to ziebarts...heard that place is quality.

i know of a small place up in Barrie where my friend had his Passat done. They did a really good job there. I'll have to ask him how much it was.

I just can't decide now between a dark tint or a lighter smoked tint. Decisions decisions....

My own vote is for the Smoked Tint. Lots of cars with dark tint..
Less is often more.. :D

i love my tint.. and not just for the look it really does make a big difference on a hot summer day and the sun is comming in on the car

Word is there is a really good place in newmarket 230-260 for the car. They use lluma(llumanus) something like that tint. Lifetime warrenty, all pre-laser cut. Know a guy that had his celi done there, and my friend just bought a civic, and the DEALER RECOMMENDED THIS PLACE!!

Yeah, it's supposed to protect against heat better, and it's got a life time warrentee. Sounds pretty good to me...

Did I mention all the pieces are pre cut, so there's no exacto knife sliding around in the inside of your car?

ok, here's my thoughts

i waited to get tint for the longest time as i spent so much money on the car i wanted ppl to see who was driving it :D

then i discovered the great advantage of being able to get road head in rush hour traffic with 18% stealth tint :wink:
